Position overview
The Regional Sales Manager will lead sales initiatives across multiple cities or provinces, building and developing high-impact teams, driving new business, and ensuring revenue targets are met. You'll blend strategic foresight with hands-on operational leadership, balancing market expansion with day-to-day customer relationship management.
What you will do (responsibilities)
- Develop and implement region-specific sales strategies, targets, and KPI tracking.
- Lead and coach a team of Sales Account Managers to exceed sales goals by developing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities among contractors, wholesalers, and distributors.
- Educate clients and intermediaries about imported materials, market trends, lead times, and financing benefits.
- Generate and qualify leads through various channels, including online, networking, and referrals.
- Monitor market conditions and competitor activity to adjust tactics and strategies.
- Address and resolve complex client issues, fostering long-term relationships.
- Support recruitment, training, and development of the sales team.
- Travel frequently across your region to meet clients and visit job sites.
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to ensure consistent branding and messaging.
- Contribute to the development of sales strategies and initiatives.
Who you are (qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent years of working experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in B2B sales, in the construction materials industry or any related subsidiary industry.
- Demonstrate strong leadership by consistently modeling the values, work ethic, and accountability.
- Proven track record of success in generating leads, closing deals, and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce sales strategies and customer acquisition techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency or familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
