Description
• UNIT NAME: Cardiac / Liver Operating Room
• PATIENT POPULATION Neonates: Pediatrics and Adults - Mixed Gender
• HOURS OF OPERATION: 0700 - 2200 hrs 2 teams provide emergency coverage 7 days per week after hours
• NUMBER OF BEDS: 50 Rs
• OCCUPANCY RATE: 85 - 90%
PRIMARY PATIENT DIAGNOSES:
• Coronary Artery Bypass Graft
• Repair Valve Disease
• Aortic Aneurysms
• Congenital Heart Defects
• End Stage and Kidney Disease
• Hepatobiliary Diseases
• Transplantation, Kidney and Liver
PROCEDURES Invasive and Non-Invasive:
• CABG (On Pump / Off Pump)Valve Replacement, Repair of Aortic Aneurysms
• Pediatric Open Heart Surgery e.g. TOF, Switch, Fontan, Glenn, TAPVD, AV Canal, AVSD Repair
• Non Pump-PDA, COA, BT Shunt, PA Banding
• Liver and Kidney Transplants, Cadaveric and Living Related
• Liver Resections, Hepatobiliary Procedures
• Re-exploration (Infection, Reconstruction, Washout)
• Diagnostic/Surgical Interventions (Bronchoscopy, Laparoscopy,Tracheostomy, Gastrostomy)
• Formation of Tracheostomy
• Other Surgical Procedures as agreed with Main OR.

Requirements
Registered Nurse with current Nursing license
A minimum of (2) years current clinical experience in specific area of practice
