Dental, Ambulatory (Outpatient) Care, Long Term Care/ Rehabilitation, Other adult and pediatric services provided include: Surgical and Medical wards, Oncology. Obstetrics and Gynecology (Labor and Delivery, Oncology, Antenatal and Post Partum wards); Oncology, Neonatal ICU, Operating Rooms, Ambulatory Care Center, Home Health Care Program, VIP Wards, Royal Suite, College of Medicine and Nursing College.

• UNIT NAME: KAMC -Hemodialysis Unit
• Patient Population:
• Adults:14 years & above
• Mixed Gender
• # of Beds: 40 dialysis stations including 2 isolation room

Primary Patient Diagnoses:
• Care of patients with Chronic and Acute Renal Failure associated with Diabetes, vascular, Hypertensions and Cardiac Problems
• Outpatient Hemodialysis Management

Nursing Procedures:
• Bicarbonate Hemodialysis, Online Hemodiafiltration, Isolated Ultrafiltration, Slow Low Efficiency Dialysis (SLED),Single Needle Dialysis .
• Catheter Care /exit site care
• Cannulation Arterio -Venous Fistula, Grafts to perform Hemodialysis
• Dialysis Adequacy - URR and KT/V management, Recirculation studies
• Anemia Management
• IV Iron Infusion
• Blood Transfusion
• Glucose - monitoring
• Care of Vascular Access

Requirements

Requirements
Education
• Bachelor Degree in Nursing or equivalent from an accredited institution- Essential; or Diploma in Nursing (Western standard for those who graduated before the availability of Bachelor Degree)

Essential
• Current licensure as a professional registered nurse- Essential
• Specific Certification as required in area of assignment - Preferred

Work Experience:
• Minimum of 3 (three) years' current clinical nursing experience following licensure/ registration in the country of origin with basic leadership experience - Essential
