Description
• Scope of Service: Non-Invasive Cardiology Lab
• The Echocardiography Sections and the Electrophysiology/General Section provide a 24-hour - on-call service for all procedures except ECG's.

Other after hours services include:
• Echo service for heart transplant donor patients - Cardiovascular Technologists are required to travel within the Kingdom and to neighbouring countries at short notice and when required
• Adult Echo service for Oncology Patients receiving Herceptin
• Saturday Paediatric Echo Clinic - to accommodate patients for discharge and for those patients who require an echo prior to the Sunday, Post-Operative Paediatric Cardiology Clinic
• Saturday Adult Echo Clinic - to accommodate the increasing demand from Oncology, Renal and Liver Transplant Services and Pre-anaesthesia Clinic

The purpose of the Non-Invasive Cardiology Laboratory is to provide the highest quality of noninvasive cardiac investigations for patients of KFSHRC presenting to the King Faisal Heart Center and to all other departments. A team of cardiologists, technologists and nurses work together to provide diagnostic information for patients of all ages known to, or suspected to have cardiac disease, which includes coronary artery disease, rheumatic valvular heart disease, congenital heart disease, cardiomyopathies, cardiac arrhythmias, hypertensive heart disease, aortic disease, pericardial disease and systemic disease with cardiac manifestation.

The Non-Invasive Cardiology Laboratory is divided into five sections:
• Nursing Section
• Adult Echo
• Pediatric Echo
• General Section
• Lab Administration and Management

Requirements

Requirements
• Registered Nurse with current nursing license from country of origin
• Two years recent acute care nursing experience
