* Oversee SDC risk management, governance and internal control processes and provide independent assurance that SDC's GAR functions are operating effectively

Description
The key functional roles descriptions are:
* Oversee SDC risk management, governance and internal control processes and provide independent assurance that SDC's GAR functions are operating effectively
* Determine internal audit scope and develop annual audit plans
* Oversee the integrated development of risk management, internal control and Governance strategies and process:
* Business Continuity Management (BCM) governance framework, plans and policies and procedures
* Enterprise Risk Management Framework (identification, categorization and management methods and common risk management language that includes common measures around likelihood and impact, and common risk categories)
* Internal and external audit and compliance procedures
* Manage the full audit cycle including risk management and control management over operations' effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations
* Coordinate with assurance providers including compliance department, external auditors and other government reviewers
* Review and assess effectiveness of SDC's internal controls including corporate governance
* Establishment and ownership of the Risk Register
