Risk Manager

Job description / Role

General description of role and responsibilities:

Identify risks associated with the projects.
Manage the risk register.
Properly articulate and address challenges and issues to management in a timely manner.
Develop a plan for mitigating identified risks.
Provide reports on potential risks and their corresponding responses.
Offer guidance on the probability and impact matrix for each project.
Lead meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors to pinpoint, evaluate, and assess risk issues emerging from different phases in the project lifecycle.
Formulate and execute a risk management plan for construction projects, delineating processes to minimize risks.
Engage in tasks related to contract management, procurement, tendering, estimating, and cost analysis.
Contribute to the management of costs, claims related to cost and time, change order procedures, and conflict resolution.
Inform themselves of the relevant quality, environmental, safety and occupational health policies, manuals and procedures within the organization and ensure continued compliance with these requirements while employed.
Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor.

Qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering/management from a western university.
• Minimum of 17+ years of experience in engineering and/or project management and in a functional role as risk manager on engineering projects.
• International and GCC experience is required.
• Proven experience and skills in identifying problems, evaluating alternatives and finding solutions.
• Reliability and initiative to succeed without direct supervision.
• Understanding the Israeli aspects of the context in the Kingdom.
• Proven experience and familiarity with commercial risk management practices and procedures, preferably in a similar cutting context.
• Previous experience in identifying risks (costs/schedule quality/safety).
• Previous experience maintaining risk management databases (e.g. Active Risk Management program).
• Previous experience with ERM procedures.
