Overview

We are seeking a Rotating Equipment Engineer to join our Jafurah Gas Plant Department (JFGP) as part of Unconventional Resources Organization. The JFGP is responsible for operating hydrocarbon gas processing plant.

Your primary role will be to lead the mechanical and rotating equipment design review, follow the construction and leading the commissioning and testing activities for the new JFGP facilities.

The candidate shall have an extensive and diverse resource of Knowledge and experience, analyze and interpret conceptual ideas into workable solutions for complex problems and issues in rotating equipment. Also, he should be able to address and resolve critical situations, both technical and non-technical

Duties and Responsibilities

You will be required to perform the following:

- Execute the actual work during a T&I period, coordinates activities of assigned craftsmen and such other personnel as are assigned (night shift coordination, etc.) to assist in the execution of the work. Incumbent may act as the day shift coordinator on T&Is or direct the activities of one or more Maintenance Engineer III's assigned to this phase of the work.
- Report to concerned Maintenance Supervisor on quality and quantity of workmanship and adherence to standards by Maintenance Engineer III and craftsmen within his assigned areas and recommends improved work methods. Reports on deviation from approved schedules and assists in the correction of such deviations
- Review Project Proposals to assure that maintenance aspects are considered in final design.
- Coordinate maintenance work between Maintenance Divisions when services from various divisions are required.
- Perform special assignments as directed, utilizing his engineering knowledge and experience. Such assignments may include work direction to one or more Maintenance Engineer III's. Application of Maintenance Engineer when specializing in Digital Maintenance Engineering Performs engineering analysis of real time, process control digital systems in central operations facilities to aid in fault diagnosis.
- Provide day-to-day technical support to Operations and Maintenance to troubleshoot and fix rotating equipment and mechanical systems.
- Resolve repetitive/chronic rotating equipment failures permanently
- Conduct performance test for critical rotating equipment
- Develop the engineering designs packages for the new installation and upgrade projects.
- Review project proposals and detailed design packages for new facilities
- Participate on the testing and commissioning of the new facilities and turnaround and inspection (T&I).
- Update and maintain engineering documentation and drawings.
- Analyze system performance and find solution for energy saving.
- Ensure quality, cost effective and timely solutions to any upgrade.
- Test and pilot new technologies. Ensure full HSE compliance.
- Report and analyze key performance indices.
- Make recommendations for technical/economic optimization of existing facilities.
- Lead feasibility/profitability studies for new facilities.
- Contribute to business unit strategy.
- Assist in the training, development and mentoring of younger staff.
- Provide analysis, evaluation and interpretation in support of projects, processes, and financing related to Saudi Aramco capital investment decisions.
- Maintain and expand on contacts within the industry.
- Regularly interact with other professionals in various company organizations involved in capital planning and economic analysis.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

As a successful candidate you should hold a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with a minimum of 15 years of experience in rotating equipment maintenance (centrifugal gas compressors), air compressors, dry gas seal, mechanical seals, various types of pumps, fans motors) preferably in the oil and gas industry, in troubleshooting, trip investigating and performing root cause failure analysis of rotating machinery. Also should have in-depth knowledge of international standards and codes ASME, API and ANSI especially standard such as API610, API 617, API 692, API 691 and others related to rotating equipment design and selection.

You will have experience with creating/modifying PFDs, and P&IDs. You will have experience with troubleshooting and major repair of oil and gas rotating equipment, such as air compressors, pumps and diesel generators. You will have experience in creating schematics and piping diagrams. You must be able to conduct failure analysis and provide recommendations for failed rotating equipment. You will have experience with rotating equipment and piping field installation, commissioning and testing. You will have experience in specifying piping and equipment layout. You should be capable of communicating with multidiscipline engineers to complete projects.

You must have proven ability to communicate effectively with management at all levels within the organization.
Capable of spotting and reconciling conflicting views and interests among different parts of the organization.

Strong written and oral communication skills are a requirement. You should be able to communicate what are frequently complex technical, economic and commercial concepts in a clear and succinct manner to individuals and groups from diverse professional backgrounds. A Hands-on person who will immediately command the professional respect of others who possess long-time practical experience of working in or serving the industry. Person whom others, at all levels, will seek out for advice and counsel. Have the ability to work effectively with the minimum of supervision on relatively unstructured tasks.
