Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Conduct training needs analysis for employees and contractors’ employees related to safety policy and procedures. Develop, implement and conduct appropriate training programs to support their identified requirement.
- Assist in the development of mandatory safety training matrices for all employees and contractor employees of the organization.
- Liaise with accreditation institutions (Nebosh) in regard to certification and accreditation processes for the Safety organization personnel in coordination with the Training and Career Development Division.
- Deliver health and safety specific training to the organization’s staff on an as needed basis.
- Conduct site introduction for new employees and facility visitors.
- Maintain safety training records including specifications, requirements, curriculum, and certificates.
- Maintain an accurate database of safety training for SATORP employees and contractor employees.
- Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of safety training programs and develop appropriate training solutions/ changes to ensure a high level of quality and competency in coordination with the Training and Career Development Division.
- Identify, implement and maintain appropriate training facilities, materials, and resources to support safety training requirements.
- Submit regular reports to the Safety Manager and Superintendent Training and Career Development Division on the status of safety training programs. Analyze trends and make recommendations for improvement.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Safety Manager.

Requirements

- Good knowledge of training processes in the industries.
- Ability to conduct Training Needs Analysis and Assessment techniques and methods.
- Good knowledge of Training Planning, Development and Implementation.
- Good knowledge of process safety management with Refinery experience.
- Good knowledge of Hazard identification and quantitative and qualitative risk analysis and analytical skills.
- Good knowledge of general tools of incident/injury prevention.
- Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner.
- Good analytical and quantitative abilities.
- Ability to function independently and effectively in a self-directed environment.
- Conversant with SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively.
- Good command of oral and written English.
