Key responsibilities:

Sales strategy and planning:
Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets within the banking sector. Identify market trends, client needs, and competitive insights to shape go-to-market strategies.

Client relationship management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in banking institutions. Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their business challenges and aligning solutions to meet their needs.

Opportunity identification and development:
Identify and qualify new business opportunities within the financial services industry, with a focus on banking. Lead the end-to-end sales process, including proposal development, contract negotiation, and deal closure.

Solution selling:
Collaborate with internal teams to design and present innovative solutions tailored to the banking sector. Leverage capabilities in digital transformation, cloud, AI, and other emerging technologies to address client challenges.

Team collaboration:
Work closely with delivery teams, industry experts, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and client satisfaction. Mentor and guide junior team members to foster a high-performing sales culture.

Performance tracking and reporting:
Monitor sales performance metrics and provide regular updates to leadership. Ensure compliance with internal processes and policies throughout the sales lifecycle.

Education and experience:

Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field (MBA preferred). 10+ years of experience in sales, business development, or consulting within the financial services industry, with a strong focus on banking. Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a complex, consultative sales environment.

Skills and competencies:

Industry expertise:
Deep understanding of the banking sector, including trends, challenges, and regulatory requirements. Knowledge of financial products, services, and technologies relevant to banking clients.

Sales and business development:
Strong ability to identify, qualify, and close sales opportunities. Expertise in solution selling and value-based selling approaches.

Relationship management:
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain client relationships. Ability to influence and negotiate with senior stakeholders.

Technical and digital acumen:
Familiarity with digital transformation, cloud computing, AI, and other emerging technologies in the financial services space. Ability to articulate the value of technology solutions to banking clients.

Leadership and collaboration:
Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams. Collaborative mindset to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Analytical and strategic thinking:
Strong analytical skills to assess client needs and develop tailored solutions. Strategic mindset to align sales efforts with organizational goals.

Other requirements:

Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events. Strong understanding of offerings and ability to position them effectively to clients. Fluency in English.
