Overview:

Responsible for the supervision of scaffolding erected by scaffolders, inspection of scaffolds, dismantling, and familiarity with a wide range of designs and scaffolding techniques for the SATORP plant.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with the SATORP Maintenance Supervisor, control, and supervise scaffolding activities to ensure that the work scope is completed in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Maintain the inventory of various types of scaffolding materials, keep records, and inform the Scaffolding Foreman accordingly.
  • Evaluate man-hours required to install each scaffolding activity and ensure that scaffolders meet these constraints.
  • Ensure certification of scaffolds by the HSE department prior to use. Develop safe work practices related to scaffolding.
  • Identify tools, plant, and equipment required to complete work scopes.
  • Check and ensure all scaffold material is in good condition and free from defects.
  • Responsible for carrying out site safety audits with the SATORP HSE department.
  • Comply with SATORP health, safety, and environment as well as work permit policies and procedures.
  • Possess proper knowledge about plant hazardous materials. Must be aware of HSE rules and policies of SATORP.
  • Ideal candidate profile:

  • Diploma in engineering or technical school or equivalent. Must have a strong background in mechanical or civil engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in refinery maintenance, specifically in scaffolding activities.
  • Well organized and proactive with excellent communication skills.
  • Proven leadership skills within large organizations.
  • Maturity of judgment under pressure and ability to resolve problems.
  • Strategic management skills.
  • An ability to achieve results while working in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Flexibility to live and work in KSA.
