WSP are looking for a Scheduler responsible for planning and scheduling of all relevant works as defined by the client throughout the contract.

The key objectives of the role will be to:
• Establish and communicate the project control mechanisms with regards to cost control and project planning, control and monitoring.
• Review, Analyse and Comment on Contractor’s Baseline schedules, procurement and engineering schedules, Daily, Weekly, Monthly reports, Invoices, procurement documents, price schedule, Variation Orders and EOT Claims etc and submit recommendation reports to Client.
• Prepare Consultancy services Invoices/site supervision Time sheets to submit and get approvals from client.
• Monitor and control of progress of works as per baseline schedules and prepare the analysis reports, and assisting Sr. project control engineer in preparing monthly progress reports for client and other stake holders.
• Participate on the weekly/bi-weekly progress meetings with Client and the contractors and prepare the MOM/Agenda.
• Prepare variance analysis, critical path analysis reports to identify reasons for any project delays, variations and any discrepancies.
• Prepare the project forecasts and analyse any potential schedule impacts and forecasting of any project delays/deviations to the baseline completion.
• Prepare consultancy services variation orders and EOT claims and present to client to get approvals.
• Assist Managers and commercial team in updating the commercial status reports (PSR, AWC, Project Earnings Schedule).
• Project Correspondence, letter drafting to clients, contractors and other Stake holders
• Review and comment on work programmes prepared by the contractor and report findings to the Project Manager.
• Review and comment on other planning/progress related reports submitted by contractors with the consent of the Project Manager.
• Work with and assist the Senior Control Engineers in highlighting and effectively communicating any shortfall of the programme to the CPM.
• Scrutinize in detail the contractor work programme in relation to logics, critical paths, floats and lags and make any necessary comments to the Project Manager.
• Work closely with contractor’s planning team to ensure that work programmes are in accordance with contractual requirements.
• Ensure that the Contractor’s schedule of the work order is prepared using the system referred to as the Critical Path Method (CPM).
• Ensure that the contractor’s schedule is prepared using the specified timeframe as indicted in the work order approved by the client.
• Ensure that the Contractor’s CPM plan shall be drawn to a level of details sufficient to show clearly all salient features of the work order and the sequence of activities are clearly demonstrated.
• Ensure that the Contractor’s schedule of the work order is submitted along with the salient information such as concise written description of the construction plan, cost and the required resources.
• Assist in preparation of Monthly Reports in coordination with Senior Control Engineer and Project Manager.

Requirements

In order to meet the challenge you will have the following skills and experience:
• Bachelor Degree in Engineering or relevant subject
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the area of scheduling and planning for a renowned construction consultant/contractor firms.
• Competent/proficient with scheduling software P3, P6(Primavera Project Planner-Latest version)
• Speak, read and write Arabic
