Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Position Summary.

In this role you will produce a master project schedule and monitor our team members’ performance to assure the schedule is met or appropriate adjustments are made and communicated to our client. In addition, you will track performance against project budget to ensure costs are in line with the percentage of the scope of work underway. You will also be working closely with our cost estimators, so an understanding and familiarity with estimating are highly desired. Keys to your success will be your competency in project controls and desire to lead project controls efforts on a large scale project.

Responsibilities:

• Provides guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for the resolution of difficult and complex project control problems.
• Interfaces with clients, attend regular meetings and provides statistical reports.
• Provides project and company management with the necessary tools for project cost control.

May lead in the:

• Developing program-level Master Schedule, as well as multiple project level schedules
• Leading team meetings to develop work breakdown structures, task deliverables, effort estimates, resource requirements
• Development of the work breakdown structure, interfacing with all affected departments.
• Analysis, evaluation, forecast, and reporting of schedule status against an established baseline
• Analysis, evaluation, and forecast project costs and performance.
• Coordinates staffing requirements, assigns and supervises project work activities, and trains personnel.
• Completes performance reviews and provides personal development for the assigned employees.
• Accumulates and accesses historical data, such as performance experience, for use in maintaining a realistic basis for future planning and forecasting.
• May lead a staff qualified to assess the impact(s) of design/construction changes and schedule slippages.
• Develops or maintains an established system to show the hierarchy of plans and schedules; keeps project and company management fully informed.
• Customizes project control systems to meet specific project requirements.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• 4-year degree in Engineering or Construction Management or related with overall 10 years’ experience with resource planning, preparing reports and presentations.
• 8 years of professional experience as a scheduler on complex High-rise buildings programs.
• Proficient PC skills including proficiency in various Project Controls software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must have the potential to perform in a lead capacity
• Familiarity with industry practices
