Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Who We're Looking For:

- Ability to lead a team of coordinators, engineers and shift supervisors and controlling daily operational and maintenance activities of a section to ensure product quality satisfy customer requirements through a safe, stable and efficient operation.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of unit operations plus refinery or petrochemical plant layout
- Understanding of company environmental policy and procedures and the consequences of departure from the system.
- Strong English language skills

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Development of adequate Training & Certification Programs.
- Participate in the development of strategic plan of the section to maximize production rate and prevent disruptions to plant operations.
- Manage all manufacturing and maintenance-related activities in the section to ensure safe and stable operations and to meet production targets by liaising with Maintenance, Sales, Corporate Planning, Safety and Quality Departments as appropriate
- Establish documentation systems and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Review and approve training needs assessed by Deputy Section Manager, formulate and control shift personnel training in accordance to company's and section's training needs and requirements to enhance their operational skills and knowledge
- Implement cost saving activities as per Section's cost saving plan
- Review developed procedures and once approved, supervise the implementation of procedures within plant equipment operation limits to prevent miss-operations and human errors in daily plant operations
- Ensure the Section's operation tasks and operations meet corporate safety and environmental policy and standards

Requirements

Qualifications:

- Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering.
- 12+ years of experience in refinery or petrochemical.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of unit operations and refinery or petrochemical plant layout.
- Understanding of company environmental policy and procedures
- Excellent command of the English language.

Rabigh Refining & Petrochemical Co. - Petro Rabigh - was founded as a joint venture between Saudi Aramco and Sumitomo Chemical in 2005. The plant is valued at US $10 billion and originally produced 18.4 million tons per annum (mtpa) of petroleum-based products and 2.4 mtpa of ethylene and propylene-based derivatives.

Our products are used in such end products as plastics, detergents, lubricants, resins, coolants, anti-freeze, paint, carpets, rope, clothing, shampoo, auto interiors, epoxy glue, insulation, film, fibers, household appliances, packaging, candles, pipes and many other applications.

Petro Rabigh II is an expansion project valued at US $8.4 billion - 25% funded by the public and the remainder equally funded by Saudi Aramco and Sumitomo Chemical. Petro Rabigh II is scheduled to be in full production by 4th Quarter 2017 and will produce a wide range of new products.
