Security Engineer - Bank

Job description / Role

- Maintain an awareness of emerging threats and the evolving threat landscape.
- Understand and manage the human factor in security.
- Participate in identifying and defining system security requirements
- Participate in developing/proposing / testing technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks.
- Assist in determining the sensitivity of the data to recommend the appropriate security needs.
- Provide a customer service interface to our colleagues from all area of the business.
- Maintain good knowledge of Control frameworks.
- Perform periodic security reviews of networks, infrastructure, and applications.
- Maintain Identity and Access controls for all infrastructure and Applications as per the Bank information security policy.
- Prepare required change management documentation of all critical information, process ownership/authority rights, and decision-making matrix.
- Prepare and manage documentation of Information Security policies, procedures, and security controls.
- Manage the incident response process and forensic investigations in coordination with Group InfoSec.
- Generate reports highlighting potential security violations, unauthorized use, fraud, performance gaps, etc.
- Work in line with Group InfoSec policies, procedures, and standards in close coordination with Group InfoSec.

Requirements

- University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Information Technology or a related discipline.
- 1-2 Years of relevant experience in the field
- Good knowledge of IT Systems
- Fair analytical ability
- Strong written & oral communication / presentational skills
- Good time-management skills
- Self-motivation and leadership attributes
- People management and relationships management skills
