Job description

• Keeps the Assistant Security Manager / Director of Security informed of all security related matters. Depending on distribution of fire, security responsibility coordinates with the Director of Engineering in this matter.
• Liaises with management personnel and all employees and assists with security problems and loss control.
• Liaises with local law enforcement and fire & safety officials.
• Proper grooming at all times.
• Attends training classes as per schedule.
• Shows fullest cooperation and respect within the team and other departments.
• Is aware of the daily activities and has product knowledge of all the hotel facilities.
• Trains security employees in all resort regulations and all factors affecting the operations of the resort: fire prevention and safety procedures, basic firefighting, life-saving techniques, preservation of crime scene and evidence, actions, duties and powers where crime is detected, action in crisis situations, report writing, public relations and psychology.
• Supervises the daily processing in distribution of security reports to the management.
• Keeps all records and reports concerning security matters and resort businesses confidential.
• Is fully trained and prepared for all emergency situations as per procedures.
• Evaluates on a continuing basis the possible threat to security.
• In close coordination with engineering department, conducts regular preventive maintenance of all safety equipment.
• Supervises that all employees lock in with the proximity card reader, located at the security post at the staff entrance.
• Strictly controls in and out back-of-the-house of contractors, visitors and suppliers. Visitor passes to be issued and controlled.
• Frequent control and supervision of all security posts, including CCTV room.
• Ensures all staff is thoroughly familiar with the resort's emergency procedures and in a state of preparedness for any emergency which may occur.
• Execution of regular technical skills training.
• Reviews Duty Manager / Night Manager book daily and takes corrective action when security is concerned.
• Reviews security logbook daily and takes action if needed, informs Security Manager.
• Maintains a monthly overview of vacation and public holiday balance of all security staff.
• Is familiar with all related company documentation and especially with the relevant Operational Standards Manual for his/her field of responsibility.
• Keeps updating the emergency manual, with appropriate procedures and forms with the consultation of Security Manager.
• Trains existing employees and newcomers on a regular basis with live fire drills.
• Conducts skills and technical training within his/her area of responsibility on regular basis.

Qualifications

• University degree in any field. 
• Minimum 2 years in a similar role with a five-star hotel preferably in the UAE. 
• Team management skills, computer skills and excellent communication skills.
