Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Objectives: Controls financial accounting management transactions and supports in preparing various financial reports and analysis as per Company system and international standards. Manages accounting transactions of the Company and provides related reports and updates to management.

Main responsibilities: Accountability:
• Provides management with all financial reports as per international financial standards.
• Promotes systematic approach to policies and procedures in financial dealings with transparency.
• Responsible for systematic cash flow.
• Responsible for preparation banking position, fixed assets, deposits.
• Manages the Company’s financial position and activities, in close coordination with superiors.

Duties:

Financial Accounting:
• Prepares bank positions in timely manner and keep close control of cash movement.
• Prepares Internal Cash Flow for comparison with banks’ real movements.
• Verifies monthly banks reconciliations.
• Verifies payroll and manages its distribution as per set standards.
• Prepares Letters of Credits, Letter of Guarantee, Banks’ utilized positions.
• Prepares systematic tracks of issued Post Dated and received Post Dated cheques.
• Prepares for all collections positions and follow-ups of transactions.
• Responsible for keeping tracks and records of fixed assets and financed assets.
• Prepares payments to suppliers and sub-contractors, and provides casual reports as requested by Accounts Manager.
• Coordinates closely with the Accountant to control accounting and financial transactions throughout its processes.

Financial Statements:
• Prepares Cash Flow Reports, with projected cash flow as required by banks.
• Prepares Profit and Loss Statement.
• Prepares Balance Sheet.
• Prepares Director’s Annual Report to assist in financial statements.
• Prepares Global Cash and Fund Flow on estimated basis and visualize with actual basis, derived from Accounting Statements.
• Prepares financial positions of banks, fixed assets, banking facilities, utilized and available positions.
• Prepares all banking positions reports, financed fixed assets and various deposits, and margin information and presents to Manager/G.M.

General Tasks:

Checks and verifies Payables (Sub-Contractors), which should cover:
• Advance payments based on the Letter of Intent/Contract Agreement.
• Preparation of ageing analysis reports.
• Reconciliation of sub-contractors accounts.
• Making partial/full payment to sub-contractors based on the Work Certification by the Engineering Dept.

Checks and verifies Payables (Materials and other services), which should cover:
• Preparation of ageing analysis reports.
• Verifies reconciliation of suppliers account.
• Makes payment to suppliers and enters into the system.
• Issues cheques and Bank payment.

Reporting to: Accounts Manager
Subordinates: Accountant, Accounts Assistant, Jr. Accountant
Probation: 6 Months
Desired start date: Immediately

Requirements

• Sr. Accountant with minimum 7 years’ experience in construction contracting
• Bachelor degree in Accounting
• Immediate Available and Ready to re-locate in Saudi Arabia
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong critical reasoning skills including ability to (i) analyze highly complex facts or situations, (ii) summarize the results in a logical and concise manner, and (iii) present recommendations for action to management
• Meticulous attention to detail, accuracy, and drive to deliver high-quality work
• Ability to develop & maintain strong vendor relationships, manage & negotiate payment terms
