Senior BIM Engineer

Job purpose

DAR Engineering International Consultancy is seeking an experienced and highly motivated senior BIM specialist engineer for projects based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate is responsible for creating, managing, and coordinating intricate models that contain comprehensive project data throughout its entire lifecycle.

Key responsibilities:

• Create, maintain, and develop detailed BIM models, integrating architectural, structural, and MEP components from concept to asset handover. Ensure models accurately represent design intent and project specifications.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve clashes between various building elements and systems within the BIM model to proactively avoid issues during construction execution.
• Enable seamless association and information exchange among project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and clients. Organize and attend coordination meetings with stakeholders.
• Drive BIM strategy mitigation plans to optimize workflows, improve collaboration, and enhance project delivery outcomes.
• Use BIM software effectively (Revit, Navisworks, 3D, 4D, and 5D, COBie), ensuring accuracy, consistency, and accessibility across all project phases.
• Conduct regular quality checks on BIM models to ensure they meet project requirements, industry standards, and BIM Execution Plans.
• Generate construction drawings, schedules, reports, and other project documentation from BIM models. Maintain project documentation related to BIM processes, guidelines, and standards.
• Implement and maintain BIM standards, protocols, and best practices across projects to ensure consistency and quality.
• Extract data from BIM models to assist in estimating project costs and quantities.
• Conduct simulations and performance analysis to optimize designs and provide valuable insights.
• Train and mentor teams in Revit, Navisworks, and BIM best practices.

Education, experience and skills

• Bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering, civil, or relevant engineering field.
• Minimum 12 years’ experience.
• Driving BIM implementation for the project.
• Construction-related experience and 4D & 5D experience:
• Present the candidate’s construction-related experience, emphasizing their proficiency in 4D and 5D techniques, incorporating time (4D) and cost (5D) aspects into BIM models.
• Experience in delivering record BIM information and COBie asset information models.
• Explore the candidate’s experience in delivering record BIM information and their familiarity with COBie and asset information models.
• The BIM specialist candidate shall demonstrate the capability of coordinating between different assets within the assigned district in the project through Revisto or Navisworks and assess the cases of interfaces to be reported to PMC.
• Detail-oriented, excellent communication, and presentation skills.
