Project description
The project is a major mixed-use development aiming to be a global landmark recognized for its unique vision and position as an authentic destination in Riyadh. The community will be a distinct, self-sustaining hub for Riyadh offering several iconic assets. KBR will provide Project Management Consultancy services in project planning, controls, design and engineering management, and implementation of the development and early works packages.
The role
Reports to the Project Logistics Director for ensuring delivery of the logistics element of the Site Wide Enabling Works Contract. During periods of absence will cover for other Construction Logistics Managers within the site team.
Main responsibilities
- Project lead and focal point for project management of the logistics elements of the Enabling Works package.
- Oversees the outputs of the Construction Supervision Consultant (CSC) for the Enabling Works contract.
- Coordinates and consults with the Client Delivery Team regarding the management of the Enabling Works contract.
- Lead and focal point for Temporary Utilities provision on site.
- Lead and focal point for logistics elements regarding Concrete Batching Plants.
- Supports the Project Logistics Director for construction logistics activities on site.
- Provides cover for other Construction Logistics Managers during periods of absence.
- Ensures the Enabling Works Contractors' Construction and logistics management plans are in line with the requirements of the Project.
- Chairs the Enabling Works progress and pulse meetings, gives direction to the CSC ensuring outstanding actions are closed out by the Contractor via the CSC.
- Reviews CSC outputs and approves management information and reports before submission to the Client.
- Holds regular meetings with the CSC regarding resource and equipment mobilization. Follows up with CSC to ensure the Contractor is correctly resourced and always equipped to deliver the Enabling Works contract.
- Liaises with the Project Planning Team to ensure any changes to the Programme schedule are carefully managed in respect to the Enabling Works contract.
Experience, skills and knowledge
- BSc construction management, engineering, logistics, architecture or equivalent.
- Minimum 15 years overall construction logistics experience.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role.
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in the Middle East.
- Experienced managing Consultants and Contractors on major construction projects.
- User of MS Office, PowerPoint, CAD.
- Fluency in English language both written and spoken.

- Interpersonal skills dealing with the Client, Construction Supervision Consultants, and Contractors with a strong customer and stakeholder focus.
- Team management and a team player.
- Accepts responsibility willingly.
- Strong communication skills, able to brief confidently at the Director level.
- HSE awareness, focused on achieving and maintaining a zero harm culture within the Logistics and Security department.
- Analyzing and optimizing logistics processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
