Senior Contracts Manager

Job description / Role

- Provide input to the Director - Contracts for the development of the Contracts Department business plan.
- Provide expert contractual advice to all stakeholder within K&A, including senior management, project teams and Contracts Sections in Regions, as needed.
- Provide input to design Project Managers with the development of risk plans as part of the project management plans.
- Support Contracts Sections in Regions in settling large claims, variation orders and disputes between clients and contractors during construction phase, as required.
- Implement risk management policies and procedures in the Contracts Section.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s Degree / Master's Degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management.
- Knowledgeable of Architecture, Engineering and Planning Industry trends and competitive landscape in the Middle East.
- Familiarity with local laws regulating the Engineering / Construction sectors in the Middle East.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English and Arabic.
- 20+ years of experience in the Architecture, Engineering and Planning Industry in a top tier regional / multinational engineering consultancy firm, with 5 years in the managerial level.
- Experience with standard conditions of contract, including such conditions as those developed by the FIDIC, AIA, EJCDC, ICE, etc.
- Experience in negotiating, writing, and interpreting terms, conditions, and requirements of contractual agreements.
- Experience in evaluating and settling claims, and managing disputes.
- Significant industry experience within the Middle East.
