Senior Cost Control Engineer

Job description / Role

- Review project cost reports and identify project controls concerns and informs management of significant variances.
- Review and monitor the cash-flow estimate.
- Monitor project expenditures and work with projects to ensure funding is not exceeded, including management of contingency funds.
- Presents awareness sessions on methods to improve expenditure forecasting techniques.
- Maintain project historical cash flow curves and cost indices for comparison against current and future projects.
- Updates its historical cost models with current information.
- Collects and evaluates engineering statistics for projects and maintain these statistical files for future use.
- Control and monitor quantities and variation orders with respect to Third Party Contractor's contract prices
- Coordinate with the site cost control team and assist in preparing periodic cost reports including but not limited to the following:
- Cash-flow projections and expected monthly payments to Contractor.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
- 10 + years of experience, directly related to the position for which application is being made of which at least ten (5) years must have been spent in significant similar engineering and project supervisory assignments as such wherein involving independent decisions and comparative responsibility.
- Proficient in the use of cost management systems.
- Extensive experience using Primavera Project Management software.
- Good oral, written and presentation skills.
