Manage and deliver the operation, upgrade, and configuration of servers, OS, and backup solutions.
Monitor the engineers' corrective maintenance visits to ensure they are undertaken efficiently and timely, meeting client satisfaction.
Support datacenter engineers in operational activities by providing guidance and ensuring the work implemented meets required standards and set milestones.
Prepare and submit weekly and monthly progress reports to the datacenter team leader to clarify the current status and progress of assigned tasks.
Participate in project planning for all technical aspects related to the team. Support the team leader in hiring new resources if needed.
Act as the technical interface with the client regarding any queries concerning the installation phase.
Manage the customer user acceptance tests (UATs).
Handle and manage downtime activities and procedures.
Support customers inside and outside KSA.
Investigate and identify the root cause of incidents.
Escalate customer satisfaction problems to the datacenter team leader or technical project services if necessary.
Provide third-level support to the technical datacenter engineers.
Provide technical training to new staff and measure their capabilities.
Responsible for personal and engineers' development to meet business requirements.
Prepare, compile, and review project technical documentation detailing the installation work and submit it to the team leader.
Supervise the enrichment of the knowledge base system.

Technical skills

• In-depth understanding of datacenter technologies including networking, storage, compute, and virtualization.
• System administration experience in Linux, Unix, and Windows.
• Strong experience with VMware and VMware NSX.
• Strong experience with storage and backup solutions.
• Hardware implementation experience is essential.
• Hardware troubleshooting experience is essential.
• Deep knowledge of Cisco Hyper-Converged Solution (HyperFlex) is preferred.
• Deep knowledge of Cisco UCS Storage Server with Cohesity Data Platform is preferred.
• Deep knowledge of Veeam Backup and Replication solution design is preferred.
• Monitor large computer networks for problems from a central location.
• Communicate with the network team to track datacenter and network problems until resolution.
• Certifications in the above topics are preferred.
• Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE).
• Cisco CCIE Data Center.

Education

Bachelor of Engineering with a specialization in communications or computers.
