WSP is seeking an experienced Senior Design Manager to join our Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team for a prestigious high-rise development in Riyadh. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating all design activities across disciplines, ensuring design integrity, technical quality, and alignment with client and project requirements from concept to completion.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the design process for a large-scale high-rise building project, ensuring timely delivery of design packages in line with project milestones.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams, including architecture, structural, MEP, façade, and interior design consultants.
• Review and validate design submissions to ensure compliance with project requirements, local authority regulations, and international standards.
• Act as the key interface between the client, consultants, and internal WSP teams on all design-related matters.
• Manage design changes, value engineering, and ensure alignment with project budget and program objectives.
• Participate in design progress meetings, workshops, and technical reviews.
• Oversee design risk management and ensure mitigation plans are implemented.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior design management team members.
• Support procurement activities, including reviewing technical submissions and specifications.
• Ensure coordination between design and construction phases, providing technical support to the site team as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15+ years of experience in design management, with at least 5 years in the Middle East.
• Proven experience working on high-rise within a PMC or consultancy environment.
• Strong understanding of design standards, local authority requirements, and international best practices.
• Excellent coordination, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple interfaces.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
