Senior Design Manager/ Associate Director - MEP

A major development company in Riyadh is looking to on board a MEP expert to lead the Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing systems for high-rise and mixed-use developments. The candidate will be responsible to lead the MEP systems design and delivery for the project, while managing multiple stakeholders including Design Consultancies and Engineers.

Description

* Oversee the design, coordination, and implementation of MEP systems for complex projects.
* Collaborate with design consultants to ensure innovative, high-quality, and cost-effective MEP solutions.
* Drive sustainability, energy efficiency, and smart system integration across all MEP disciplines.
* Review designs for constructability, cost management, and operational efficiency.
* Identify and resolve technical challenges while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
* Provide strategic leadership in optimizing MEP systems for long-term performance and durability.
* Guide and challenge consultants to push the boundaries of innovation in MEP engineering.
* Work closely with stakeholders, contractors, and project teams to align MEP designs with overall project objectives.

* 12+ years of experience managing MEP systems for high-rise or large-scale projects.
* Strong expertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and automation systems.
* Proven track record of working with design consultants and engineering teams.
* Deep understanding of sustainability principles, energy efficiency, and smart building systems.
* Strong knowledge of cost management, constructability, and operational efficiency in MEP design.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to drive innovative solutions.
* Effective leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
* Master's or bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.
* Professional certifications (LEED, CEM, PMP, or equivalent) are a plus.
* Experience with BIM, digital twins, or smart building technologies is preferred.
