Employment: Full Time

Responsible for leading the planning function. The Sr. Director will be responsible for supporting the Core team and ensure implementation of all the planning and reporting policies, guidelines, & procedures such as baseline preparation guidelines, progress updates, scheduling analysis, earned value management, extension of time claims / disruption claims requirements.

Our client is involved in one of the biggest real estate developments in the KSA region with a focus on various different asset classes across a large area. The different asset classes include Cultural and Historical, Retail and Lifestyle, Hospitality, Education and Live and Work.

Description

* Develop / oversee the development of Working Programmes in line with the business execution strategy and in coordination with the development and delivery.
* Support the Executive Projects Controls Director by managing and maintaining a reporting system (KPI's) to monitor the projects performance against achieving the objectives.
* Provide Support to the Project Delivery Leads for a successful delivery of the projects, ensuring proper collaboration and discussions are in place to capture/escalate any issues, and alignment with all stakeholders with regards to programmes and forecasts/updates.
* Manage projects progress and ensure tackling any delays and mitigation measures are in place, discuss with the projects team as required to ensure the recovery plans are in place and are achievable.
* Direct the activities of the planning team to ensure that all work is carried out efficiently in line with the strategic project management plans, policies, and procedures.
* Build and lead motivated, engaged, and competent planning team by setting clear targets, objectives, and KPIs against an agreed road map, and provide the required mentoring and coaching to meet the Masterplan challenges and goals.
* Lead by Example and act as a role model across the Organization to spread awareness and commitment to vision, mission, values, fundamentals.
* Create and advocate for a cohesive team chemistry and collaboration between the planning team and other departments.
* Build a strategic IDP for each member of the team and ensure the required and desired training and certifications are included.
* Work with recruitment function to ensure they provide a pipeline of suitability qualified team members in a timely manner to ensure program requirements are met.
* Oversee the activities of the planning teams to ensure that project planning activities are carried out timely, efficiently and in-line with the business requirements.
* Ensure only suitable and qualified project planning key team members are assigned by the PMO / PMC (through interviews and candidate assessment).

Requirements:

The successful candidate will be strong in Planning with a focus on large and complex projects. Strong leadership skills and management skills are required.

* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
* Master's degree in Project Management is preferred
* A minimum of 20 years of overall experience in the Construction / Real Estate Development industry with 10 years of experience in a managerial role
* Experience in Project Delivery from Inception to Completion
* Experience in large, mixed use construction projects and mega infrastructure projects in the region with strong knowledge of the industry planning practices (preferable)
