Senior Electrical Engineer

Job description / Role

Job requirements:

The senior electrical engineer will lead the design, installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems for the Fadhili gas plant project. This role requires extensive experience in oil and gas projects, strong technical expertise, and compliance with Saudi Aramco engineering standards (SAES) to ensure safe and reliable power distribution and electrical infrastructure.

Qualifications & skills

• Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Certifications: Professional engineer (PE) or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 10 years in electrical engineering, with at least 5 years in oil and gas or industrial projects.
• Proven experience with Saudi Aramco projects and standards.
• Technical expertise: Strong knowledge of power systems, protection schemes, and hazardous area classifications.
• Familiarity with SCADA, DCS, and electrical integration with telecom and instrumentation systems.
• Design & engineering: Develop detailed electrical designs for power distribution, lighting, grounding, and protection systems.
• Ensure compliance with SAES, SEC, and international electrical standards (IEC, IEEE, NFPA).
• Project execution: Supervise installation and commissioning of electrical equipment including transformers, switchgear, MCCs, UPS systems, and control panels.
• Conduct FAT, SAT, and performance testing for electrical systems.
