Role Summary:

Baker Hughes, a GE company offers an experienced opportunity as Senior Engineer - Data Analytics to join the team in Dammam, KSA.

Essential Responsibilities:

- Work within the Modeling and Data Analytics group in DTC ( Dhahran Technology Center) with customers, engineers, and other data scientists in development, deployment, and application of applied analytics, predictive analytics, and prescriptive analytics within well-defined projects to address customer needs and opportunities
- Work alongside software developers and software engineers to translate algorithms into commercially viable products and services
- Work on data quality assessment, data cleansing and data analytics
- Perform exploratory and targeted data analyses using descriptive statistics and other methods
- Develop and apply Deep Learning and different technologies, including ANN etc., for analytics and natural language processing applications
- Apply classification techniques via supervised/unsupervised learning, automated feature generation, and image labeling etc.
- Deploy developed solutions into oilfield systems and evaluate performance of deep learning models
- Generate reports, annotated code, and other projects artifacts to document, archive, and communicate the work and outcomes
- Support analytics framework development, working closely with analytics researchers, data scientists, mechanical, electrical, petroleum and chemical engineers.
- Provide inputs on best practices, industry trends, and future potential for industrial analytics.
- Influence from a technical standpoint across the function and business.
- Lead research work independently and in cross-functional teams
- Develop and execute short-term & long-term research projects
- Collaborate with world-class talent in many disciplines, each touched by the need of enabling BHGE products and services to unlock new customer value
- Research and develop tools, frameworks and processes to improve analytical methods, performance, scale and sophistication of algorithms, simulations and systems application
- Liaise with external entities
- Demonstrate strong leadership, organizational, planning, and project management skills.

Requirements

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Masters' degree in STEM majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).
- Research work experience of 4 years or more / 5 additional years of experience in Product Analytics.
- Experience in managing local and remote resources in a matrix environment
- Demonstrated proficiency in coding in one or more languages (e.g. Python, Matlab, C, C++, R, or Java etc.)
- Demonstrated skills in applying supervised/unsupervised machine learning/deep learning techniques in algorithm development (e.g. regression, classification, clustering, and neural networks etc.)
- Experience incorporating engineering analytics or advanced data-driven analytics into software solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact professionally with diverse levels of the organization, including executives, managers, vendors and subject matter experts
- Solid facilitation and presentation skills to lead design sessions with business and technical audiences

- Detail oriented and demonstrated ability to develop technical requirements based upon proactive analysis of customer needs
- Demonstrated awareness of feature extraction and real-time analytics methods
- Strong technical knowledge and acumen on multiple technology stacks and ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Ability to manage and work on multiple projects concurrently
- Ability to break down a problem and efficiently work toward implementation of solutions with minimal guidance
