Employment: Full Time

We are looking to hire an Enterprise Architect (EA) to join our team. As the Enterprise Architect, you will play an integral role in building a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence that is centered on business value creation whilst aligning technology solutions to strategic business goals. Working closely with the VP of Innovation & Technology, you will help set strategic direction to ensure that the “right technology” supports the right business outcomes. The role provides architecture thought leadership and is accountable for strategic technology plans that drive competitive advantage and reduce technology complexity.

- Develop and maintain enterprise technology conceptual, reference and target architecture including principles, standards, patterns, and adoption roadmap
- Build and maintain an overarching enterprise business capability and IT services view aligned to the enterprise business model
- Integrate enterprise architecture processes and products into project and portfolio decision-making
- Maintain a repository to document and communicate enterprise architecture artifacts
- Partner with other solution architects/managers to provide scalable and adaptable architectural solutions
- Accountable to lead and facilitate the long-term strategic roadmaps for IT aligned with business goals
- Partner with business and technology subject-matter experts to elicit and translate business strategy into technology roadmaps
- Promote the use of a shared infrastructure and application roadmap to reduce complexity and improve the technology landscape
- Integrate business and service strategy into an enterprise architecture roadmap
- Advise business units on the technical implications of changes to business processes, regulatory changes, market opportunities, and growth
- Ensure that technology investments comply with legal, corporate, technical, and cyber security standards
- Accountable for emerging technology scanning and industry/market trends to determine potential impact/opportunity for the enterprise

Requirements

- Post-secondary degree(s) in computer science or a related field
- 10+ years Information Technology experience
- 5+ years of experience as an Enterprise Architect working across multiple architecture domains (business, information, application, integration, etc.)
- Experience modeling and developing architectural artifacts (conceptual, logical, and physical) for current and future state architectures and road maps; and designing, integrating, and managing complex IT solutions
- Exposure to a broad array of IT disciplines including, but not limited to, technical architecture, business process management, application development, middleware, database/information management, network management, and operations
- Demonstrated experience with business process and performance modeling, benchmarking, and financial analysis
- Knowledge of EA modeling and repository approaches
- Exceptional understanding of modern system architectures, object-oriented and service-oriented design, analysis and implementation principles
- Ability to “think big” and challenge conventional wisdom regarding technology
- Tactful leadership and negotiation skills with business and technical groups
- Demonstrated ability to build consensus among many stakeholders
- Comfortable with ambiguity and willing to take principled bets on new technology
- Ability to establish, implement, and enforce appropriate IT standards to meet business requirements
