Senior Environmental Engineer

Job description / Role

Major construction group in Saudi Arabia requires an ARABIC speaking Senior Environmental Engineer for a project in the North West of Saudi Arabia.

10 years + experience is required and you will be responsible to review and monitor environmental site conditions, prepare reports and records, provide leadership to environmental site teams, prepare and implement environmental management systems. Classify site waste and implement disposal methods. Attend meetings with stakeholders in issues pertaining to environmental monitoring and control. Ensure environmental measurements and records are maintained and prevent instances of environmental non-compliance. Investigate and resolve issues of environmental non concomitances. Work to improve EMS and environmental performance.

Requirements

Candidate shall:

Be able to read, write and speak fluent English and Arabic.

Be able to perform duties with the minimum of supervision.

Be experience in the construction of infrastructure projects.

Have experience in WWTP, STP, RO systems, Marine and Terrestrial environment monitoring.

Have experience in preparing environmental reports for GAMEP approval.

Have experience and be capable of preparing and writing reports and method statements e.g. EIA, CEMP, EMS.

Have PC skills, word & excel, power point.

Have or be willing to gain Saudi Council of Engineers registration.

Be prepared for assignment anywhere within KSA.

Have audit qualification ISO14001.

Shall be a self-starter within proven ability to plan and structure activities.
