Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Role Requirements:
• Have technical expertise in geotechnical engineering with a demonstrable understanding of the underlying principles of Soil Mechanics.
• Significant consultancy experience across a range of business sectors with demonstrably good commercial awareness and relationships with clients.
• Has strong communication and proven project management skills in a geotechnical team within a competitive business environment.
• Proven track record in the delivery of geotechnical projects, including preparing reports to a high technical level.
• Understanding of client requirements, including those not captured in the contract, and the ability to influence contract specifications.
• Excellent report-writing and client liaison skills. Will have proven previous experience of undertaking and managing: geotechnical desk studies; designing, procuring & supervising Ground Investigations (GIs); checking and reviewing Ground Investigation Reports & Geotechnical Design Reports.
• Must have the skills to check and critically evaluate the work done by others, be it Drawings, Calculations or Reports, and have a proven track record of doing so.

Salary:
SAR 10,000 to 20,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

To be considered:
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Preferably a higher degree (masters or PhD) specialising in geotechnics.
• 3 to 10 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering;
• Experience in design & analyses of micropiles;
• Able to demonstrate ability to apply the basic principles of geotechnical engineering to a wide range of situations and to perform calculations either by hand or using software/spreadsheets.
• Experience in using and interpreting the output of appropriate engineering software;
• Effective communications in written and spoken English with the ability to prepare discuss and present deliverables to a client at a senior level.
• Good communication skills (including technical report writing), the ability to work to tight deadlines and adaptability.
• Experience in geotechnical finite element software.
