Employment: Full Time

Detailed Description

• Identify priorities and develop initiatives(marketing, online, channel and promo related) to support them
• Compile current / potential streams, clients and projects to utilize activation to generate non – conventional revenues in coordination with TV, Radios, production and New Media
• Assess current / potential streams, clients and projects to utilize merchandising to generate non-conventional revenues
• Compile all Channel’s merchandising /licensing expectations to help their growth targets
• Monitor plans to ensure that channel marketing activities and merchandise initiatives are in sync
• Find regional partners across all categories and brands
• Plan and develop product for key brands
- Oversee Style guide creation
- Product Development
- Brand roll out through licensees
• Create flyers / brand presentations for trade
• Develop marketing roll out plans using all departments:marketing, channel, new media, radio and publishing
• Ensure smooth relationship with key licensees / partners
• Identify suitable licensing partners and products for all properties and prepare grid and product development plan
• Pitch for and secure top international brands, in synergy with Channel, Marketing and Digital teams
• Negotiate and control licenses both with licensors and licensees
• Work closely with licensees to ensure their requirements are met to maximize earnings
• Maintain target licensee / property and product grid
• Manage relationships with licensors and their monthly/marketing reports required
• Minimize category gaps by scouring the market for new licensees
• Top line product development involvement
• Facilitate sourcing requirements from and to licensees
• Identify opportunities for maximizing benefit between licensees, and other parties, eg. Malls, manufacturers, etc.
• Create flyers / brand presentations for trade and ensure to pof mind branding at retail for all represented brands.
• Act on infringements of trademarks/copyrights by liasing with licensor’s legal contacts
• Set up regular meetings with legal at least six times a year
• Manage contractual issues with legal for all third party contracts with the help of Merchandise & Licensing Coordinator
• Ensure registrations of key internal properties
• Identify non-conventional sources of revenue aside from agency representations
• Plan spending budgets and revenue forecasts
• Collate revenue allocation as per contract requirements

Requirements

Job Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Marketing/ Business Management or related field
• Minimum of 9 years of Licensing Experience
• Experience in licensing field -preferably within Media industry (Toy Brands)
• Strong relationship management skills & communicate effectively
• Strong presentation skills
• Fluent in writing and speaking in English (Arabics peaking is a plus)
• Experience dealing with cross functional teams within an organization/suppliers
• Excellent negotiation skills
