The local marketing team in Riyadh plays a critical role in driving growth, increasing brand awareness, and deepening engagement in this competitive and fast-paced market.
About the role
We are looking for a senior marketing executive to join our Careem Market team in Riyadh. You will be responsible for bringing our brand to life locally — balancing brand storytelling with performance marketing to grow the grocery and convenience business. This is a high-impact, execution-focused role for someone who is deeply passionate about Riyadh’s consumer landscape and enjoys turning insights into action.
What you'll do
- Support the development and execution of marketing plans that balance brand-building with performance-driven initiatives to grow Careem Market in Riyadh.
- Run high-impact marketing campaigns to acquire new customers, retain existing ones, and drive cross-sell between Careem services.
- Own the execution of marketing campaigns end-to-end — from insight gathering and ideation to briefing, launch, and performance tracking.
- Collaborate with FMCG brand partners to create compelling co-marketing campaigns that drive orders and enhance brand credibility.
- Drive local brand awareness by supporting on-ground activations, events, and sponsorships tailored to Riyadh’s consumer landscape.
- Enhance the in-app experience and CRM performance by localizing content and targeting customer segments with personalized offers and messages.
- Work cross-functionally with commercial, product, operations, finance, and central marketing teams to ensure aligned execution.
- Monitor market trends and competitor moves to identify new opportunities and keep Careem Market top-of-mind in Riyadh.
What you'll need
- 3–6 years of relevant marketing experience, ideally in consumer tech, quick commerce, grocery delivery, food delivery, or e-commerce.
- Strong experience running 360° campaigns — digital, CRM, and on-ground — with a keen eye on performance and brand impact.
- Solid understanding of marketing funnels, customer behavior, and targeting tactics.
- Fluency in Arabic and English is essential.
- Comfortable with data, insights, and performance metrics — able to translate numbers into strategy.
- Collaborative team player with great communication skills and stakeholder management.
- Passionate about the Riyadh market with a pulse on local culture and trends.
- Highly organized, proactive, and execution-oriented with a growth mindset.
