Industrial complex, Riyadh

The center of alfanar’s industrial activities is alfanar Industrial Complex situated in the Third Industrial Zone on Al-Kharj Road, Riyadh.

Spread across 700,000 square meters, the complex houses alfanar’s facilities.

The complex has a comprehensive infrastructure including a data and communication center as well as a commercial zone.

Job purpose

Ensure reliable and safe operation of equipment by resolving complex maintenance issues, supporting reliability improvements, and guiding maintenance execution in line with approved technical and safety standards.

Key accountability areas

Maintenance execution and technical leadership

• Perform advanced mechanical maintenance on critical equipment including pumps, gearboxes, compressors, and valves
• Diagnose complex and recurring equipment failures and determine appropriate repair actions
• Guide engineers and technicians during troubleshooting and maintenance execution
• Ensure maintenance activities follow approved procedures, technical manuals, and safety requirements

Planning and documentation

• Review and validate maintenance work orders, job scopes, and technical requirements
• Ensure accurate completion of maintenance checklists and CMMS job records
• Provide technical input for shutdowns, turnarounds, and scheduled overhauls
• Verify maintenance history, failure records, and equipment data accuracy in the CMMS

Reliability and root cause analysis

• Participate in and support root cause analysis for major or repeated equipment failures
• Analyze maintenance data and equipment performance trends to identify reliability risks
• Recommend corrective and preventive actions to improve equipment availability and performance
• Follow up on implementation of corrective actions to avoid recurrence

Compliance and safety

• Apply safety procedures including permits and lockout/tagout during maintenance activities
• Ensure compliance with company standards, OEM recommendations, and regulatory requirements
• Participate in safety inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations
• Report unsafe conditions and support corrective safety actions

Technical support and coordination

• Provide technical support to operations and production teams to minimize downtime
• Review drawings, manuals, and specifications to confirm repair methods and spare parts
• Coordinate technically with engineering, procurement, and external service providers when required
• Support equipment testing, commissioning, and return-to-service activities

Continuous improvement and knowledge sharing

• Monitor equipment condition and escalate abnormal trends or risks
• Suggest improvements to maintenance procedures, tools, and work methods
• Share technical knowledge and lessons learned with engineers and technicians
• Apply new maintenance techniques and tools to improve efficiency and reliability

• Perform the planned activities to meet the operational and development targets as per delivery schedules.
• Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time.
• Provide a periodic report formatted by detailing the deviation and execution of planned tasks.

Solve any related problems that arise and escalate any complex operational issues.

Quality:

Ensure quality requirements to develop effective quality control and processes including specifications for products or processes or related activities.

Business process improvements:

Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automation opportunities as much as possible.

Compliance:

Comply with related policy and procedures and work instructions.

Health, safety, and environment:

Ensure compliance of relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products/services.

Academic qualification

Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering or any relevant field.

Work experience

6 to 10 years.
