Senior Planner

Job description / Role

Currie & Brown has a range of opportunities within the Middle East region and is currently seeking a Senior Planner to work on a prestigious project in the Jeddah Office.

The ideal candidate will have broad experience in building sectors i.e. government and associated infrastructure works.

Responsible for:
- Ongoing monitoring and reporting of all program related activities.
- Preparation of resource loaded baseline program.
- Providing construction services of the planning aspects.
- Monitoring the planning and project controlling works for conformance with project procedures.
- Following up on contractor's daily and weekly reports as well as contractor's look ahead of submissions.
- Preparing and finalising weekly progress report submissions and weekly quantity reports to the client.
- Liaising and coordinating with the contractor and the client.
- Attending all necessary meetings with the contractor and the client.
- Reviewing and analysing contractor’s claims and preparing recommendations reports.
- Primavera schedule tracking for progress updates.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Must have Primavera (P6 or Primavera Contract Management) working experience and certification.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience, three (3) years of which should be in a similar role working for an engineering or project management consultancy.
- Middle East experience is essential
- Excellent English communication, client/external interface and report writing skills
- Well organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well disciplined and commercially astute
- A track record of working with teams and managing projects by prioritising workloads and delivering to deadlines.
