Senior Process Controller - Paper Mill

Job description / Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Process Controller to join our dynamic team at our Paper Mill facility in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. As a Senior Process Controller, you will play a critical role in overseeing and optimizing the production processes involved in recycling paper and manufacturing paper jumbo rolls. Your expertise in process control, quality assurance, and operational efficiency will be vital in ensuring that we meet our production goals while adhering to environmental and safety standards. You will collaborate with various departments to implement best practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives across our operations.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control the paper production process to ensure optimal performance, quality, and efficiency.
- Needs to demonstrate good knowledge / background in recycling paper manchines
- Needs to manage 2 to 3 high speed machines
- Analyze production data and trends to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Develop, implement, and maintain process control strategies to enhance product quality and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to address equipment issues and improve operational reliability.
- Conduct regular inspections of the production area to ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Train and mentor junior process controllers and operators on best practices and standard operating procedures.
- Prepare detailed reports on production performance, quality metrics, and process improvements for management review.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to support new product development and process optimization projects.
- Stay updated on industry trends and technologies to recommend innovative solutions that enhance production efficiency.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the team.

- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; a master's degree is a plus.
- Having worked on recycling paper machines is a must
- Needs to demonstrate sound experience in operation
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in process control within the paper manufacturing or related industry.
- Strong understanding of paper production processes, quality control measures, and recycling techniques.
- Proven experience in data analysis and process optimization methodologies.
- Familiarity with process control systems, automation technologies, and relevant software tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and train others.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and environmental compliance in industrial operations.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
