Job description / Role
Senior Process Engineer (WWTP Construction Supervision) - Riyadh, KSA
Purpose: To provide Design & Construction Supervision services, in the capacity of Senior Process Engineer on this 300 000 cubic meter per day Sewage Treatment plant project in Riyadh , Saudi Arabia.
The Senior Process Engineer shall be responsible to review, monitor and advice on all issues related to the treatment processes:
• Review and approve designs and reports related to the treatment process proposed by the contractor
• Ensure that all the proposed processes and effluent quality will meet the requirements of Saudi Arabia Presidency of Meteorology and Environment (PME)
• Review and approve testing and commissioning procedures
• Provide professional advice on any changes or improvements required.
• Monitor and assist the client in the testing and commissioning of the plant
• Review treatment efficiency and advice on improvements
• Review and approve O&M Manuals
• Review all water quality tests and result and sample collection procedures
Requirements
• Must have B. Sc in chemical engineering, environmental sciences/ engineering or in civil engineering
• Must have at least 10 years experience in wastewater treatment process design and specifications.
• Ability to study and understand contract technical specification related to plant process.
• Experience in the selection of suitable process system to achieve required product results based on characteristics of raw water/sewage specified in contract documents.
• Ability to review and recommend general layout plans for STP/WTP in light of contract specification and flexibility in operation and maintenance works.
• Ability to prepare and review of P&I Diagrams in coordination with mechanical/electrical engineers;
• Coordination with related client/consultant engineers to approve process/hydraulic calculations.
• Ability to prepare operation philosophy for STP/WTP
• Experience in preparation of step by step instruction to plant operation teams regarding sampling/testing and commissioning of STP/WTP .
• Study laboratory analysis results to assure compliance with contract specifications
