Title: Senior Project Manager
Location: Riyadh

Role Overview:

We are currently recruiting a Senior Project Manager to join our Riyadh team. This is an exciting opportunity for a high-calibre individual to join and strengthen our team. This essential client facing role is to a deliver a major cultural project within Riyadh.

The project is currently commencing from inception and will require the individual to be responsible for the overall direction and management of an international design team through the pre/post contract phases. The SPM will be responsible for wholly delivering and fulfilling the contractual scope requirements and meeting the Client’s project goals and objectives. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual to take responsibility for cradle to grave PM services.

Key Responsibilities:

- Act as RLB’s representative for all day to day matters with the Client during the project execution, including reporting and performance requirements
- Oversees and manages establishment of a robust brief, and framework for governing the project
- Proactive management of all design stakeholders including Architects, Engineers, Content Designers, Interior Designers, Specialist consultants, etc.
- Establishment of all project controls including scheduling, document control, reporting, risk management, quality control etc
- Devise and execute action plans to rectify potential cost overruns or schedule delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work
- Monitors and reports to management on the progress of all project activity within the program, including significant milestones, and any conditions, which would affect project cost or schedule.
- Ensure that Client’s technical requirements are fully understood and disseminated amongst design team members
- Manage resources and hence deliver RLB’s contracted services to time, quality and budget
- Provide advice to other members of the design team and Client as necessary to resolve technical issues
- Take personal responsibility for complying with Environmental, Health, Safety, Security and Quality Standards
- Be competent in running complete lifecycles for procurement of both designers and contractors
- Facilitate value engineering workshops and instruct agreed strategies.
- Administer the process for design comments and succinct feedback through to the design team.
- Manage change during pre/post contract phases.
- FIDIC Suite Contracts knowledge

Requirements

Candidate Requirements:

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive proactive approach to the role and will be committed to delivering customer service excellence, with good commercial results.

- Significant track record of museum experience (10+ years)
- PM experience through the design phase is essential
- Thorough understanding of the delivery process for museums
- Must be a strong lead, client facing, excellent communicator, presenter and chair
- Must be prepared to work above and beyond the typical work day hours
- Must be prepared to travel outside of the Middle East for regular project meetings
- A team player with a ‘can do’ attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable and flexible
- Well organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined and commercially astute
- Professional qualification
- Must inspire confidence within the Client organisation
