Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

• Degree in architecture, civil engineering or a construction industry-related subject
• A minimum of ten years’ postgraduate experience in the construction industry
• Experience of working on residential and leisure projects in the Middle East
• Chartered engineer status with one of the following institutions:

- CIBSE, IMechE, IET, IChemE or in the process of achieving chartered status within 12 months, or a qualified architect

• Design management experience, either in the role of design manager within an organisation or project lead managing the multidisciplinary design for a project or number of projects
• Ability to adapt processes and procedures to best suit the particular project requirements

Requirements

• BSc in project management, civil or architectural engineering
• A minimum of 15 years’ technical delivery experience gained within a global engineering consultancy
• Experience of working on residential and leisure projects in the Middle East
• Pre- and post-contract experience
• Accredited to a relevant professional body, eg PMP
• Good commercial, design and project management awareness, technical writing, client-facing and communication skills (both internal and external)
• Well organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined and commercially astute
• A team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful and flexible
