Job description / Role
Responsible for managing projects from initiation to closure, ensuring that each project is properly planned and executed to ensure delivery of the project within agreed time, scope requirements, cost and quality. Also, ensure reporting of the projects to stakeholders is properly done.
Financial/Monetary: (Revenue/Cost):
• Ensure project is delivered within the approved budget
• Control of Project Budget and expenses
Customer/Client: (Internal/External):
• Regularly coordinate with the concerned Sponsor, team members and other key stakeholders in order to closely manage and monitor project activities.
• Pro-actively follow-up with each project team member on his deliverables to ensure timely delivery.
• Build excellent relationship and team collaboration with all program sponsors
Suppliers / Vendors: (Regulators/Others):
• Assist the Procurement unit in selecting vendors (RFP process) and finalizing contractual agreements for the vendor to start.
• Perform the vendor selection committee presentation
• Prepare the RFP for projects
People/Employee: (Unit & Bank Wide):
• Establish good rapport and team work with all project stakeholders
• Develop, guide, support and lead the direct reporting PMs to excel and perfect their quality of work and meet their objectives
Internal processes/practices: (productivity/quality/compliance/reporting):
• Ensure effective and efficient conduct of project activities from start to end of the project.
• Validate, and ensure all project deliverables are delivered within agreed scope and timeline and quality
• Seek/Explore and introduce new ideas for improving the management and delivery of projects.
• Identify, and lead the implementation of PM’s “best practices, standards, methodologies, tools and techniques, templates, PMIs, etc., across the Bank.
• Ensure the timely preparation and submission of all project reports and presentation materials to different stakeholders and governance bodies.
Requirements
Experience:
• Minimum 5- 7 years experience in banking, with at least 5 years in project management
• Solid knowledge on project management (PMP certification or similar pm certification – preferred)
