Role Overview:

We are currently recruiting a Senior Project Manager (Science Museum Exhibitions) to join our Riyadh team. This is an exciting opportunity for a high-calibre individual to join and strengthen our team. This essential client facing role is to a deliver a major cultural project within Riyadh.

The project is currently commencing from inception and will require the individual to be responsible for the overall direction and management of the exhibition workstream of the project.

The SPM will be responsible for overseeing the design, visitor testing, fabrication, and implementation of a museum.
This role presents an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual to take responsibility for cradle to grave PM services working within the context of our Project Management Team.

Key Responsibilities:

- All aspects of project management including leadership, budgeting, programming, and documentation through exhibit development, design, prototyping, visitor testing, fabrication and installation.
- Be an expert in developing and refining the museology to precisely achieve the Clients requirements.
- Be experienced enough to thoroughly review the Exhibition Designers deliverables and be wholly accountable for the delivery of a bespoke exhibition concept.
- Be able to develop the overall roadmap for the exhibition design, exhibit design, construction, fabrication and installation.
- Have in-depth market knowledge of the leading exhibition specialists and contractors globally. Lead the procurement of these specialists.
- Have significant experience in audience testing (both procuring and implementing the process) and how to apply the results of the evaluations.
- Have a thorough understanding of content development for interactive exhibits including storyboards, AV/multimedia installation / footage / licencing etc.
- Understand the need for subject matter experts and timely align their input within the programme.
- Be able to develop a precise contracting strategy for all activities including preparation of detailed budgets based on your experience.
- Have significant experience in post contract management of the exhibit fabrication, installation, testing & commissioning and handover.

Requirements

Candidate Requirements:

- The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive proactive approach to the role and will be committed to delivering customer service excellence, with good commercial results.
- Significant track record of museum experience
- PM experience through the design phase is essential
- Being able to interrogate the design team – architects/ exhibition/ content designer is essential based on experience and lessons learnt from other museums
- Thorough understanding of the delivery process for museums
- Must be a strong lead, client facing, excellent communicator, presenter and chair
- Must be prepared to work above and beyond the typical work day hours
- Must be prepared to travel outside of the Middle East for regular project meetings
- A team player with a ‘can do’ attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable and flexible
- Well organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined and commercially astute
- Professional qualification
- Must inspire confidence within the Client organisation
