Employment: Full Time

As a Senior Project Manager for Field Gas Compression Project, you will be part of Power Grids Division and High Voltage business unit based in Dammam. Power Grids offers power and automation products, systems and service solutions across the generation, transmission and distribution value chain. Its offering - covered by the five business units that includes grid automation and integration solutions, power transmission systems, high-voltage products and transformers.

In this role, your main responsibilities will include:

Project leadership
Leads the project team allocated to the project, defining main guidelines, allocating project tasks, and motivating and monitoring internal and external resources to accomplish all tasks and milestones. Provides performance feedback regarding allocated resources working on projects. He also has the overall responsibility in terms of leadership and coordination between the sub-projects of PGGA and PGHV.

Planning and scheduling
Defines, jointly with the Project Controls department, all project plan documents, including scope and financial plans, schedule and risk management plans.

Project execution and control
Ensures that the project follows execution best practices and ABB policies and guidelines as well as ARAMCO. Effectively monitors and controls project progress and financial status as well as efficient resource utilization. Monitors, controls and reports project financials, overseeing project invoicing status, cost, expenses and cash flow. Identifies, qualifies, quantifies and manages project risks, and ensures that all opportunities are identified and pursued. Captures, analyses and shares lessons learned throughout the project.

Quality management
Ensures the provisioning of all material, documentation and related services in line with the Quality Assurance and Quality Control policies and directives of ABB as well as ARAMCO.

Contract, claims and procurement management
Ensures that the project consistently applies contract and claims management, in accordance with ABB policies and contractual agreements. Coordinates with Supply Chain Management, and successfully procures required services, materials and equipment for the project from external and internal suppliers. Support Supply Chain Management in supplier negotiations, claims and project changes. In this context he will work together with the GIS factories of the Production Network as well as the EPC's engaged by ARAMCO.

Change management
Ensures that changes requested from ARAMCO, their consultants or the involved EPC's during the execution of the project are utilized for Upsales or claims.

Stakeholder relations
Acts as key contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues. Builds and maintains strong relationships with all internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicates with all these stakeholders. This may include frequent traveling in line with the meeting requirements set forth by ARAMCO, its consultants as well as the involved EPC's.

Communication and managing of diverging interests
Ensures timely and adequate internal & external communication by suitable means and channels to ensure a smooth cooperation of all the different internal & external parties and stakeholders. He also has to actively manage potential conflicts in the best interest of ABB and the project.

Health, safety and environment (HSE)
Ensures the project follows and complies with company health, safety, and environmental policies, as well as that these policies are also applied by the EPC's and the involved contractors.

Requirements

Ideally the candidate should have a Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, with valid PMP Certification, with 8 to 10 years of experience in electrical manufacturing industry, of which at least 5 years in project management, as well as experience to work with international EPC's. ARAMCO experience is preferred. Fluent both in Arabic & English languages (written & spoken) is required.
