Senior Project Planner, PMO - Oil and Gas - Khobar, Saudi Arabia

* Develop comprehensive project plans and schedules for large-scale, complex projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
* Provide guidance and mentorship to junior project planners, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
* Optimize resource allocation and utilization across multiple projects, balancing priorities and managing constraints effectively.
* Develop and maintain detailed project schedule, including timelines, milestones, and critical path.
* Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop robust mitigation plans to address potential project threats.
* Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
* Engage with key stakeholders, including executive leadership, clients, and vendors, to communicate project status, negotiate changes, and manage expectations.
* Implement advanced project tracking tools and techniques to monitor progress, identify variances, and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.
* Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance project planning efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness.
* Ensure all project activities comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices, maintaining a high level of quality assurance.

Requirements:

* Bachelors in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
* 7+ years of proven relevant experience in project planning and management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale projects. Experience in a senior or lead role is highly desirable.
* Demonstrated experience in digitalization/software development life cycle, and the wider principles of project management. Holds PMP certification or equivalent.
* Working knowledge of planning/scheduling methods such as CPM, PERT, crunching, etc. Proven experience in applying and rectifying project control issues such as schedule crunching, dynamic shifts, etc. Experienced in managing complex digitization project interfaces.
* Holds certifications demonstrating knowledge and flexibility to apply emerging modern approaches versus conventional waterfall.
* Proven ability to consult client contractual documentations to ensure compliance especially regarding schedule, cost/financial, and quality.
* Project-driven with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills. Flexible to handle wide range of coordination tasks.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Effective stakeholder management skills.
