Responsibilities

• Oversee all quantity surveying functions throughout the project lifecycle, including planning, execution, and closure.
• Prepare detailed estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents in accordance with project requirements.
• Lead the cost management process, performing regular cost analyses and implementing cost-saving strategies.
• Coordinate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and budget adherence.
• Manage contractual negotiations, variations, and claims in a timely and effective manner.
• Conduct site visits for progress assessments and to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Mentor and support junior quantity surveyors, fostering a collaborative learning environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying or a relevant field.
• A minimum of 10 years' experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
• Professional certification such as MRICS or equivalent is highly regarded.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes, and cost management techniques.
• Proficient in relevant software for quantity surveying and project management.
• Exceptional analytical skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of liaising effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
