Description
JASARA PMC is on the lookout for a senior quantity surveyor to join our prestigious team, where you'll play a vital role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of our high-profile construction projects. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the successful delivery of projects that make a significant impact in the industry.
Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of cost estimates, tender documents, and bills of quantities for various construction projects.
- Manage cost planning and financial reporting, ensuring projects remain within budget and are financially viable.
- Act as the primary liaison between clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, managing inquiries regarding costs and procurement.
- Perform value engineering assessments to identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
- Oversee contract administration, including contract negotiations, variations, and claims management.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure adherence to budget and quality standards.
- Provide mentorship and support to junior quantity surveyors, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, construction management, or a related discipline.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying, preferably in the construction or civil engineering environment.
- Professional qualification such as MRICS (member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes, and cost management techniques.
- Proficient in quantity surveying software and tools.
- Excellent analytical skills with an ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
