What this job involves:

  • Working within the retail consulting team on retail-related projects across the MENA region.
  • Assist the team on client assignments. Key tasks include market research, data analysis, report execution, presentations, and participation in internal and external meetings.
  • Preparation of client pitches, presentations, proposals, and report assignments.
  • Drafting, coordinating, and managing the execution of a proposal in response to a client RFP or request.
  • Market research (desk-based and on-ground), development brief, financial model, and report drafting and execution.
  • Attending meetings, which involves traveling in certain instances, to support ongoing jobs, workshops, and presentations.
  • Contribute to the successful execution of other business development and marketing initiatives as needed.
  • Make active contributions to JLL's public quarterly research reports for the KSA.
  • Whilst the focus will be KSA-based work, some assignments may require travel within the region, i.e., Middle East & North Africa, subject to travel advisory warnings as per JLL EMEA Policy.
  • The role will require knowledge of the retail industry in general and the different market dynamics of the GCC countries.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in retail companies (retailers or retail developers) or "big four" is an advantage.
  • Reporting to the retail consulting lead.

Professional Competencies:

  • Previous technical background in retail in general and shopping malls - 2 years' experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of local retailers and developers and how they operate.
  • Relevant degree in finance, economics, business preferred, architecture, and design.
  • Good report writing skills in MS Word.
  • Ability to prepare succinct PowerPoint presentations.
  • Excellent understanding of MS Excel and financial modeling.
  • Corporate written communication.
  • Must be Riyadh-based.
  • Knowledge of the local KSA retail market.
  • Good administrative and IT skills.
  • Good numeracy and analytical skills.
  • Strong customer relations skills and ability to work and integrate in a busy team.
  • Fluent in English and Arabic spoken and written.

Other Competencies:

  • Be capable of managing stress and accepting constructive feedback.
  • Strong diplomatic skills involving tact and discretion. Experience of dealing with VIPs and VVIPs.
  • Strong organizational skills - ability to multitask and prioritize workload.

  • Ability to delegate and willingness to be 'hands-on' when required.
