Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Minimum Requirements:

- Working closely with engineering CSFPD representative on safety & fire protection issue.
- Has frequent contacts with safety engineers and consultants to identify hazards and recommend solutions to maintain an acceptable level of safety throughout company operations.
- Has frequent contacts with company departments and management and occasional contact with executive management of engineering, operation and maintenance department to discuss and resolve complies safety engineering problems.
- Knowledgeable and skillful in Qualitative and Quantitative Risk Assessment
- Knowledgeable of industrial fire & safety standards and their application to oil & petrochemical plants.

Who we're looking for:

- Bachelor Degree in Chemical/Mechanical, Electrical, Fire Tech Engineering from reputable universities with Diploma in Industrial Safety, Master is a plus.
- Minimum 15 year of experience in safety fire / protection in Oil & gas - 10 years in supervisory position responsible for the implementation of safety Management System
- Participation and membership in professional societies like ASSE, AIChE professional certification or licenses would be advantageous (such as, professional Engineer, Certified safety professional, certified fire protection engineer).
- Has through knowledge and understanding of the development and implementation of safety management systems (OSHAS 18001)
- Possesses high level of expertise, experience and judgment to influence current and future company safety plans, safety engineering and technical standards, specifications and design practices.
- Knowledge of risk analysis, process safety management, major incidents investigation and safety audits.
- Fluent in English. This is mandatory requirement.
- Strong inter-relationship/ communication skills.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Review engineering design packages for new installations and modifications to existing installation for compliance to fire & safety Standards.
- Participate in PHA Studies and QRAs
- Participate in Value Engineering Studies.
- Participate in Major incident investigations.
- Participate in MCC inspections
- Prepare technical safety articles on subjects of interest to the company & department.
- Participate in QMSR and SSC meetings.
- Prepare training materials for department staff & mentor junior engineers.

Petro Rabigh II is an expansion project valued at US $8.4 billion - 25% funded by the public and the remainder equally funded by Saudi Aramco and Sumitomo Chemical. Petro Rabigh II is scheduled to be in full production by 4th Quarter 2017 and will produce a wide range of new products.
