Job description / Role
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with architects, designers, and project managers to develop comprehensive fit-out plans, including space layouts, furniture specifications, and equipment requirements.
• Prepare detailed construction drawings (if applicable) ensuring adherence to building codes and regulations.
• Create and maintain project schedules, timelines, and budgets for assigned fit-out projects, monitoring progress and identifying potential risks or delays.
• Manage project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and submittals, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct thorough site visits to assess existing conditions and ensure fit-out plans are feasible and efficient.
• Liaise with vendors and suppliers to source materials, furniture, and equipment within budget constraints, negotiating favorable deals when possible.
• Assist with quality control inspections to ensure fit-out projects meet all specified standards and client expectations.
• Mentor and guide junior planning specialists within the team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in fit-out planning, identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare reports and presentations to communicate project progress and planning details to stakeholders
Requirements:
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in a planning role within the fit-out contracting industry.
• Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing detailed fit-out plans.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and finishes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar building information modeling (BIM) software.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality control.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
