Role Summary:

Working in close collaboration and partnership with the Global Sales Leader of Power Digital and the regional leadership team within GE Power and Power Services, the COE leader for the Enterprise Transformations will be responsible for the successful strategy, commercialization, sales and resulting operating plan for the strategic opportunities around Enterprise Transformations.

Essential Responsibilities:

- As the COE Leader you will direct the Predix powered software segment in the for Enterprise Transformations, translate concepts, develop strategy and implement change with a close interlock with the Power, Steam Power, and Power Services organizations.

Additional responsibilities for this role include:

- Accountability for the orders growth & performance and overall operating plan globally for Enterprise Transformations.
- Developing a wing-to-wing view of the Power Digital business for Enterprise Transformations, including all aspects of the commercial and operational cycle. Develop, validate and refine the organization/expertise required to support the business, which will stretch across Gas and Steam. Ensure that all aspects of this matrixed organization are aligned and focused on orders growth and business interlock
- Own the portfolio management and new business incubation priorities within their area (Enterprise Transformations using digital technology)
- Report and evangelize to internal and external stakeholders
- Lead expansion of businesses across geographies and hand-off to operational teams
- Collaborate cross functionally to develop inorganic growth strategy, identify and select business opportunities and geographies to launch business in, identify gaps in offerings and lead the identification and recruiting of partners to fill those gaps, and, when necessary, push startups and venture teams to create net new capabilities.
- Collaborating on decisions regarding the development of capability, talent assessment and selection, and organization structure to drive success and ensure continued alignment
- Ensuring operational excellence in the areas of integrity, controllership and compliance.

Major personal performance objectives for this role in the first 12 months are:

- Execute against 2019 Power Digital Operating Plan
- Evangelize and influence a software, solutions and services mindset across the GE Power, Power Services, and Steam Power organizations
- Drive cross functional efficiencies and simplification to increase growth in the regions

Requirements

Qualifications/Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, science, engineering, technology or related discipline or equivalent knowledge or work experience
- 8 years' experience in a software business (including SaaS and/or PaaS)
- 8 years' experience in collaborating and working across large, complex, multi functional and regional/global teams to solve challenging business problems and deliver positive results for customers

Eligibility Requirements:

- Must have unrestricted authorization to work in North America, Europe or UAE
- Must be willing to comply with pre-employment screening, including but not limited to drug testing, reference verification, and background check
- Must be able to work out of a GE location and travel 40% of the time

Desired Characteristics:

- Significant experience managing global operations for sales and services
- Strong financial performance ownership with additional experience in field operations, operational strategy and execution strategy
- Master's degree, MBA or PhD in a technical field or equivalent knowledge or work experience
- Understands financial modeling, and CSA accounting practices highly desired
- Ability to interface and influence all levels of the customers' organization
- Experience managing across senior professional and executive level matrixed organizations to deliver results that delight internal and external customers
- Experience with Power Services products, Processes and Teams
- Ability to understand and develop highly complex integrated solutions line or product strategies while still maintaining deep working understanding of what makes such solutions competitively strong from a technical perspective
- Product management and BD experience in emerging technologies
- Demonstrated, exceptional ability in communicating and influencing at all levels of technical and business expertise; possesses a collaborative leadership style
- Ability to "see around corners" and understand how to anticipate industry technical and market landscape shifts and proactively attack opportunities
- Demonstrated results leading teams to sustainably deliver outstanding solutions
- Relevant Work Permit for either NA, Europe or UAE
