Senior Structural Engineer

Overview / Responsibilities
Wood is looking for Senior Structural Engineer t o work on the engineering and project management services in Al Khobar office
- Have experience in the oil / gas, hydrocarbon, refinery, infrastructure industries on large to mega projects
- Prepares and reviews engineering studies, design drawings and documents, and material and equipment specifications
- Must have working knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles, calculation methods, design details, international codes and standards, procedures, and specifications
- Demonstrates ability to work with others
- Prepares and reviews engineering studies, design drawings and documents
- Resolves specialty related engineering issues by applying accepted principles, codes, and standards
- Aware of appropriate codes of practice and standards
- Aware of and able to use design and assessment methods under supervision
- Aware of analytical methods used within discipline and theoretical background for analysis programs
- Able to identify personal training / education opportunities
- Highly motivated with an innovative and analytical mind
- Able to communicate ideas to both senior and junior personnel

Requirements

Skills / Qualifications
- Degree in Civil, Structural Engineering
- Minimum 10 years' experience in oil and gas industry working for an established contractor, operator, or consultancy
- Previous experience in the execution of FEED and EPC Projects
- Should be proficient in Microsoft office software (Word, Excel, MATHCAD, Foundation 3D, SACS, STAAD and STADDpro)
- Should also be familiar with editing, opening, and reading drawings in AutoCAD / Microstation
- Professional level of ability in the application of standards, processes, and procedures and how they are used in work execution
- Professional level of knowledge of applicable codes and standard
