Senior Systems Engineer - Physical Security

Job Description

• Analyses customer problems and resolves and closes customer complaints, as per assignment from the Technical Team Leader.
• Reports the status of the customer service provided to the Technical Team Leader.
• Prepares Engineering Software / Hardware design documents for review by the Technical Team Leader.
• Undertakes the implementation and coding of software.
• Assigns engineers and technicians to undertake the installation activities and follows up on their work.
• Undertakes the testing process including all internal, workshop, factory acceptance testing (FAT) and site acceptance testing (SAT).
• Implements the required process and suggests any adjustments that improve the flow of work.
• Prepares and submits weekly activity reports to the team leader.
• Prepares and submits weekly progress reports to the team leader on a given project.
• Provides feedback to the Technical Team Leader on the performance of the engineers and technicians as input into their performance evaluations.

Personal Skills

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 5-8 years of experience in PSIM domains.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of ELV, physical security and FA systems (e.g., CCTV, ACS, PA, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of smart cities concepts.
• Proficiency in PSIM platforms (e.g., WinGuard, Advancis, CNL, Everbridge, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of network architecture and protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, etc.).
• Familiarity with cybersecurity principles as they relate to physical security systems.
• Experience with database management and data analytics.
• Experience with systems-to-systems integrations (e.g., APIs, SDKs, WebServices, and others).
• Strong experience in different ELV systems and related vendors.
• Excellent communications, presentations and interpersonal skills.
