Senior Test Automation Engineer

AlWatania Information Systems is looking for a detail-oriented senior test automation engineer to join our quality assurance team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated test scripts to ensure the quality and performance of our software applications. You will work closely with development teams to understand application features, create test plans, and establish automated test frameworks that help deliver high-quality software solutions. Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define test strategies.
• Design and implement test frameworks that ensure comprehensive test coverage and improved efficiencies.
• Conduct code reviews and provide feedback on automation scripts to ensure best practices are followed.
• Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools and methodologies.
• Participate in continuous integration and delivery processes, integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide training and guidance to junior QA team members on test automation practices.
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in test automation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software testing and automation.
• Strong proficiency in test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript) to create test automation scripts.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) is a plus.
